Collection: Marisa Bacher, Montforte d’Alba

Hailing from Valsesia in northern Piedmont, Marisa’s journey led her from the foothills of Monte Rosa to Barolo. Since 2016, she has refined her expertise working with Mario Fontana at Cascina Fontana in Castiglione Falletto. Seeking independence, Marisa secured the lease on a challenging, steep 1-hectare hilltop vineyard overlooking Monforte d'Alba that Fontana was set to abandon due to difficult farming conditions. Representing a new generation establishing roots in Barolo, her inaugural eponymous wine, "Rosso Bacher" (Dolcetto-Barbera blend), is vinified in cement, aged in steel over winter, then fiberglass until late April bottling. From the 2023 vintage, she expanded her range with Langhe Nebbiolo.
