Collection: Gabrio & Giotto Bini, Pantelleria

Gabrio and his wife Genevieve discovered the beauty of Pantelleria, a volcanic island off the west coast of Sicily, in the 90s and decided to buy an estate there. In 1995, they started with some capers, and after 10 years of self-actualization, Gabrio finally vinified his first wine in 2005. Today, joined by his son Gabrio, the duo makes some of the most sought-after wines in Italy.

Today, Gabrio and his son, Giotto, form an unparalleled duo, crafting some of Italy's most coveted wines. Their unwavering attention to detail is evident in every aspect of their winery, from the meticulously sourced amphorae from Spain to the ingenious walls they've built to surround the standing vessels.

The harsh, wind-swept environment of Pantelleria has left an indelible mark on their vineyards. Centuries-old olive trees stand diminished in size, akin to bonsais, while the grape vines cling tenaciously to the ground, braving the Sirocco winds to yield a bountiful harvest – a testament to the resilience of nature.

Traditionally, Pantelleria is known for its sweet Passito wines, but Gabrio and Giotto have boldly forged their own path. They have not only forgone sweet wines in their portfolio but have also ventured into the uncharted territory of planting the southernmost Pinot Noir in the Northern Hemisphere, along with the revered Savagnin and Poulsard grape varieties gifted by the "Jura Pope," Pierre Overnoy.
