Bartolo Mascarello Barolo 2018 (750ml)
12 in stock
The 2018 Barolo from Bartolo Mascarello is attractive, but also two-dimensional relative to the very best years. Dark cherry, plum, tobacco, cedar, incense and licorice all open in the glass. The 2018 is a bit strict in its tannins, but is developing well. Give it at least a few more years in bottle.

Bartolo Mascarello, Barolo
Located in the heart of Barolo, Bartolo Mascarello is a beacon of traditional winemaking, now led by Maria Teresa. This 5-hectare gem produces around 35,000 bottles per vintage, featuring Piedmont classics like Freisa, Barbera, Dolcetto, and their legendary Barolo. Known for co-fermenting Nebbiolo from five historic vineyards—a technique long forgotten in the region that encourages continuous fermentation—their wines are aged in 100% Garbellotto barrels to preserve purity and complexity. The wines offer a true taste of Piedmont—authentic, soulful, and timeless.
