Low stock
Caparzo is an iconic benchmark estate in Montalcino, celebrated for pioneering single-vineyard Brunello production. Their famed "Vigna La Casa" vineyard—a 5-hectare jewel on the prestigious Montosoli hill—was first bottled as a single cru in 1977, marking a milestone in Tuscan winemaking history.
Brunello di Montalcino "Vigna La Casa" 1998 originates from Montosoli's famed galestro and marl soils. The 1998 vintage has reached peak maturity, offering a serene, fully evolved expression of Sangiovese Grosso aged traditionally in oak casks and cellared to perfection.
Tasting Profile: Deep mahogany-garnet with a translucent tawny rim. Highly complex tertiary bouquet featuring dried sour cherries, aged leather, pipe tobacco, dried rose petals, forest floor, white truffle, and sweet wood spice. Broad, silky, and seamless on the palate with fully resolved, velvety tannins and a long, savory, autumnal finish.
Decant gently 30 minutes before serving at 17–18°C. A mature masterpiece pairing exquisitely with slow-braised osso buco, wild boar, roasted venison, truffle dishes, or aged Parmigiano-Reggiano.
