Crissante Alessandria Barolo "Galina" 2020

Crissante Alessandria is a historic family estate founded in 1958 in La Morra, now managed by Sanzio Alessandria and his family. Farming prime single-vineyard plots across La Morra, the estate remains committed to traditional Nebbiolo winemaking, extended maceration, and large neutral cask aging.

Barolo "Galina" 2020 comes from the warm, south-facing Galina (Gallina) cru in La Morra. Known for limestone-rich soils that impart generosity and texture, Galina yields Barolos of rich fruit depth and velvety tannins. Aged 24–30 months in large Slavonian oak casks, this 2020 highlights the cru's sun-ripened harmony.

Tasting Profile: Deep garnet hue. Aromas of ripe black cherry, wild plum, dried rose, sweet leather, and toasted spices. Rich and expansive on the palate, featuring plush, fine-grained tannins, balanced acidity, and a long, warm finish with lingering dark fruit and balsamic notes.

Decant 1 hour before serving at 16–18°C. Perfect companion for slow-cooked osso buco, roasted venison, beef tagliata, or mature fontina cheese. Cellar for 12–20 years.
