Crissante Alessandria crafts benchmark, estate-bottled Barolo from family-owned vineyards in La Morra and Verduno. Honoring founder Crissante Alessandria's legacy, the family practices meticulous vineyard care and classic slow fermentation in large oak barrels to let each cru speak clearly.

Barolo "Monvigliero" 2020 comes from the prized Monvigliero cru in Verduno, famous throughout the Barolo zone for producing wines of remarkable fragrance, weightless power, and silky texture. Aged over 30 months in large oak casks, this bottling showcases Monvigliero's singular, spicy floral personality.

Tasting Profile: Pale ruby with garnet highlights. Highly perfumed nose bursting with white pepper, red strawberry, crushed rose petals, pine needles, and Mediterranean herbs. Weightless and translucent on the palate, with ultra-fine, silky tannins, energetic acidity, and a soaring, ethereal finish.

Serve at 16–18°C in burgundy stems. An extraordinary match for roasted duck, truffled tajarin pasta, grilled veal chops, or pheasant. Exceptional cellaring potential of 15–25 years.

Crissante Alessandria, La Morra

Crissante Alessandria, an “up-and-coming estate with elite potential” in La Morra, crafts exceptional Barolo under eighth-generation winemaker Alberto Alessandria. Founded in the 1950s—after decades of selling grapes—the family’s 6ha span prime sites Capalot, Roggeri, Galina, and the new Monvigliero cru. This year marks the debut of Monvigliero 2020, from Verduno’s storied slopes. Made in their original farmhouse cellars. A legacy balancing floral elegance, earthy depth, and generational ambition.
