G.B. Burlotto Barolo "Acclivi" 2016 (750ml)

Comm. G.B. Burlotto represents the pinnacle of traditional Barolo viticulture in Verduno. Established in 1850, the estate achieved legendary status under founder Giovan Battista Burlotto and continues to set the benchmark for traditional Nebbiolo under winemaker Fabio Alessandria. Through organic farming, long macerations, and aging in classic botti grandi, Burlotto captures the delicate floral nuance and crystalline mineral drive of Verduno's limestone-rich terroir.

Barolo "Acclivi" 2016 comes from the historic 2016 vintage, widely regarded as a benchmark classic in Piedmont. Blended from old-vine plots in Monvigliero, Rocche dell'Olmo, Neirane, and Boscatto, this cuvée combines multi-vineyard complexity with the structural intensity and electric precision of a landmark harvest.

Tasting Profile: Translucent ruby red. Ethereal aromatics of wild strawberry, crushed violet, star anise, dried thyme, and crushed granite. The palate is vibrant, taut, and deeply concentrated, featuring laser-focused red berry fruit, noble structural tannins, and a chillingly persistent saline mineral trailing finish.

Decant 1 hour prior to serving at 16–18°C. Built for 20+ years of cellaring. Exceptional with roasted squab, braised beef short ribs, or white truffle tajarin.
