Giovanni Canonica is a legendary natural cult producer working out of a tiny, micro-scale cellar in the heart of Barolo. Operating under 2 hectares of total vineyard land, Canonica works with absolute simplicity and minimal intervention: no synthetic chemicals in the vineyard, spontaneous fermentations in wood without temperature control, long skin maceration, and neutral cask aging without filtration.

Barolo del Comune di Grinzane Cavour 2019 is crafted from Canonica's organically farmed parcel in Grinzane Cavour. Sourced from clay-limestone soils with optimal exposure, this 2019 vintage showcases the rustic purity, vertical acidity, and deep structural backbone characteristic of traditional long-maceration Barolo.

Tasting Profile: Deep garnet red. Complex, savory aromatics of dark red cherries, forest floor, damp earth, iron, leather, and wild mint. Chewy and muscular on the palate, offering concentrated dark stone fruit, grippy natural tannins, and a long, mineral-driven finish.
