Giuseppe Gorelli (Azienda Agricola Gorelli) represents the pinnacle of artisanal Montalcino winemaking. Leveraging decades of experience with Montalcino's unique microclimates, Gorelli crafts long-lived, traditional Sangiovese Grosso from low-yielding old vines in northern Montalcino.

Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2019 is Gorelli's flagship reserve cuvée from the legendary 5-star 2019 vintage. Selected exclusively from his oldest, most prized vineyard blocks at 400 meters elevation, the wine underwent an extended 40-day skin maceration and 48 full months of maturation in large neutral oak casks before extended bottle aging.

Tasting Profile: Deep garnet red with ruby rim. Profoundly complex aromas of dried Morello cherry, dark plum, pipe tobacco, leather, crushed violet, dried garrigue, and exotic spice. Immensely structured yet elegant, offering rich layers of dark fruit, vibrant natural acidity, satiny firm tannins, and an enduring, mineral-laden finish.

Collector's item with 25+ years cellaring potential. Decant 2 hours before serving at 16–18°C alongside Florentine t-bone steak, braised venison, wild boar ragù, or aged pecorino.

Giuseppe Gorelli, Montalcino

Giuseppe Gorelli, a proud Montalcino native, began showcasing his winemaking talents at just 18, impressing the local consortium and learning from the legendary Giulio Gambelli. In 2017, he took a bold step and established his own winery in Northeast Montalcino, where he now tends to 6.3 hectares of vineyards known for their exceptional tannins and ideal growing conditions. His debut vintage in 2018 reflects his passion, with Sangiovese fermented spontaneously in Garbelotto casks, resulting in Rosso di Montalcino aged for nine months and Brunello for four years. Recently, he declared his first "riserva" from the cool 2019 vintage and shared the exciting news of finding a permanent cantina for his Garbelotto bottis also in the Northewestern Montalcino.
