Sagona (Azienda Agricola Sagona) is an artisanal natural wine producer nestled on the high terraces of Loro Ciuffenna (~500 meters elevation) in Tuscany's Pratomagno mountains. Dedicated to organic viticulture and biodiversity, Sagona farms historic terraced vineyards with native Tuscan grape varieties, practicing wild yeast spontaneous fermentations and zero-additive winemaking.

Fonfon 2021 is Sagona's characterful natural white cuvée, crafted predominantly from old-vine Trebbiano Toscano and Malvasia. Fermented naturally with native yeasts and aged in neutral vessels without fining or filtration, Fonfon balances easy-drinking charm with serious gastronomic depth.

Tasting Profile: Hazy golden-straw hue. Aromatic nose of dried apricots, yellow orchard fruit, lemon verbena, wild thyme, and crushed stone. Energetic and tactile on the palate, delivering crisp citrus acidity, fine phenolic texture, and a refreshing, saline-laced mineral finish.

Serve cool (11–13°C). Pair with Tuscan crostini, grilled trout, roasted chicken, frittatas, or young pecorino cheeses.

Sagona, Arezzo

Sagona, a remote organic farm in Pratomagno (500m), crafts mountain Tuscan wines from native varieties like Sangiovese and Malvasia Nera. Daniele Corrotti tends 4 hectares of small plots amid olive groves and stone walls. Their standout Trebbiano Toscano—racy, reductive—joins mineral Sangiovese, echoing rugged terroir of sand, clay, and rock. A hidden gem where tradition meets wild elegance.
