Stefano Occhetti Roero Riserva 2022 (750ml)

Stefano Occhetti, a former civil engineer, returned to his grandfather's Roero vineyards and made his first vintage in 2019; with his wife he now runs a small family estate of old vines on limestone and fossil-rich sands. His Nebbiolo are delicate yet intense, intensely aromatic.

The Riserva is the estate's top Roero, given extended ageing before release: more depth and spice than the straight Roero — dark cherry, herbs, fine tannins and a long finish — while staying perfumed and elegant. Decant an hour ahead for braised beef, truffle dishes or aged cheese.
