Stefano Occhetti's family winery sits in the Roero, where his old Occhetti vines grow on smooth limestone and the nearby Sanche cru — steep, sandy, fossil-rich soils he calls "the Rive Gauche of Roero" — lies 100 meters from his house. A Roero of real breeding from one of the appellation's rising names.

Sanche 2023 is a finely etched Nebbiolo: red fruit, herbs and flowers, fine soft tannins from the sands, perfumed and charming now, with more depth to come over a few years.
