Vaira Aurelj is an artisanal micro-winery based in La Morra, Piedmont, producing expressive, low-intervention wines that let the natural terroir and grape personality shine without compromise.

Fuori Zona "FZ" 2022 ("Out of Zone") is pure Nebbiolo harvested from estate parcels situated just outside the official Barolo DOCG boundary in La Morra. Crafted with the exact same artisanal care, wild yeast fermentations, and gentle handling as their Barolo Fossati, Fuori Zona delivers authentic Nebbiolo character in an approachable, early-drinking style.

Tasting Profile: Luminous garnet color. Delivers alluring aromas of red cherry, fresh rose petals, blood orange zest, and sweet dried herbs. Medium-bodied and supple on the palate, combining bright red berry fruit with fine-grained Nebbiolo tannins, crisp natural acidity, and a clean, mineral finish.

Serve at 16–18°C. An ideal everyday artisanal Nebbiolo that pairs brilliantly with tajarin with meat ragù, roasted veal, duck breast, or medium-aged cheeses.

Brothers Francesco and Giacomo are rewriting Barolo's rules at their Vergne estate. With biodynamic vineyards and minimalist winemaking, they craft wines that buzz with energy. Their "FZ" (Fuori Zona) Nebbiolo challenges expectations, while the rare Controcorrente – made from Nebbiolo rosé – is pure liquid rebellion.
