Il Marroneto Madonna delle Grazie Brunello di Montalcino 2008 (750ml)
Low stock: 2 left
The estate's top selection, the 2008 Brunello di Montalcino Madonna delle Grazie, is plush, rich and authoritative. At the same time, though, it isn't materially better or more complex than the straight bottling, but rather a darker wine with bolder, bigger texture. Rose petals, licorice, sweet red berries and game linger on the powerful, incisive finish

Il Marroneto, Montalcino
Nestled just below the historic convent on the winding roads of northwestern Montalcino, Il Marroneto winery pays tribute to the chestnut dryers once used by the nuns from the adjacent convent. Alessandro Mori, inspired by Sangiovese expert Giulio Gambelli, left his law career to embrace winemaking full-time at his family's vacation house. A proud traditionalist, he believes that true Brunello should embody age-worthiness, vibrant energy, and a distinctive acidity. With three high-altitude vineyards and a commitment to natural techniques, Il Marroneto produces just four cuvées, including the exquisite "Madonna delle Grazie," which showcases the essence of Italian winemaking and continues to set a standard for elegance and longevity in Montalcino.
